The unanimous decision came amid growing concerns over the impact of U.S. tariffs. In its quarterly outlook, the BoJ slashed its FY 2025 GDP growth forecast to 0.5%, from January’s estimate of 1.0%. The growth outlook for FY 2026 was also lowered to 0.7% from the prior forecast of 1.0%.
